Chat users should have dialogue orders. In fact to communicate effectively you should estabilish a system to regulate the discussion. Examples might be: when you want to speak, write "*"; when you have finished talking, write "." or "!"; when you haven't finished writing because you are still thinking of what you want to say, use "...".
You may work out your own system or also choose to have a moderator who regulates the system.
