The day has finally come ! The exchange between the Swedish and the Italian students has started. The Swedish class of Lulea has spent almost 24 hours in Italy and already tasted some of the differences between their country and the hosting one.
After a short welcome at school last night the students were matched and the adventure could begin ! Lots of new people to know, English to speak to make oneself understood, smiles to use as much as possible to make communication easier: that's the beginning of an intercultural experience.
On the following morning a longed for exchange of impressions and first information was alternated to the discussions of the group work. The topics of the mirror-work in groups are : family, love and relationships, integration and multiculturalism, social rights and equality, religion and moral issues and norms.
The deadline of the school activities will be Tuesday at 11.00 when the presentation of the final products will take place.
Tomorrow the students will already take a day off to get into the first week-end of their staying: a trip to Stresa, the Isles of Lake Maggiore and Arona.
