100 000 scared children goes to school every day

The amount of reports to the national agency for education gained dramatically last year.
More and more children are bullied at school.
The Aftonbladet’s perusal shows that the amount of reports to the national agency for education increased with 38 procents last year.
- The environment for children and teenagers have become harder, says Gunnar Sandelin at BRIS (children’s rights in society).
Today more then 100000 children go to school with pain in their stomachs. For many children the start of the school year means that the daily harassments will start again.

The children are scared
- The calls to us increases before every school start. The children are scared. Children, who have been left alone during the summer, are now going back to an environment where they become tortured says Gunnar Sandelin, the paper responsible at CRIS (children’s right in society).

The Aftonbladet’s (Swedish evening paper) check up shows that the number of reports about bullying to the national agency for education have increased with a very big number. The first of April this year the law of discrimination and abusive behaviour at school became harder so that the bullying would decrease.

Pays Indemnities
Communes that don’t take their responsibility can now be forced to pay indemnities.
- It’s every child’s right to be secure in school. This law is about conserving the children’s human rights, says Lars Arrhenius, the national agency of educations child- and pupil commissary, who is the one that pushes the individual bully cases towards the communes.
Fyrisskolan in Uppsala is the school that was reported the most last reading year.
Christer Rosell who is the principal at the school doesn’t want to comment the three errands, but says that the school has non-tolerance against every form of indignities. Despite that he admits that the schools pupil welfare work hasn’t succeeded fully.
- If our efforts for our teenager’s weat and woe don’t lead to satisfaction for them, we have failed. That I can’t deny.
- Questions about bullying and indignities are discussed all the time at the school and when we get knowledge about a pupil who gets in trouble we act immediately, says Christer Rosell.

Will have a plan of action
According to the education act is every school guilty to have a plan of action against bullying. But according to Magnus Jägerskog, marketing director and the head of information department at the connection friends, is bullying not just a school problem.
-This questions concern everybody. Bullying hurts people’s feelings and follows us throughout life, he says.
