SCENE: My new school friends

Italian Student: Here we are. Now I’ll park the car and show you around my school.
Swedish student: Sure, let’s go !
I.S: This is our schoolyard, where all students can spend the break chatting together
S.S.: How long does your break last?
I.S: It lasts 10 minutes, just the time to grab something to eat.
S.S.: How many classes have you got today?
I.S: I have six classes a day but sometimes we also have lessons in the afternoon.
S.S: Really?
I.S.: Sure.
I.S.: Shall I show you around the building now ?
S.S: Great !
I.S.: The first office on your right is the secretary office. Here we can ask for any kind of help and information.
S.S. : Yes, in Sweden it’s the same.
I.S: The second door on the right along this corridor is the Headmistress’ office.
S.S: Fine, where is the teachers’ room?
I.S: It’s the first door on the left, opposite the secretary’s office.
S.S: Ok..
I.S.: Now I’ll show you our main hall. It's the place for meetings and conferences. Here we can also watch videos about interesting topics and carry on discussions about them. Here we have a DVD player, a TV set and a laptop with projector for presentations.
S.S.: Have you got any laboratories?
I.S. Yes, of course. Downstairs we have the science and computer labs but we can use them only at the presence of a teacher.
S.S. : Have you got many tests to write ?
I.S. : We very often write tests but we also have oral tests at least once a week.
S.S. : I see… It’s a different system.
I.S. : Look ! This is my classroom and these are my classmates.
S.S. : Who’s that teacher ?
I.S. : She is our Italian teacher. The lesson is going to start. This is my desk, you can sit next to me.
S.S. : Fine, This school looks great to me ! Thanks a lot for your presentation !

SCENA: La nuova scuola

Studente italiano: Eccoci qui. Ora parcheggio e ti mostro la mia scuola.
Studente svedese: Certo, andiamo !
S.I.: Questo è il cortile , dove tutti gli studenti possono passare insieme la pausa chiacchierando S.S.: Quanto dura la vostra pausa?
S.I.: Dura 10 minuti, giusto il tempo di prendere qualcosa da mangiare.
S.S.: Quante ore hai oggi?
S.I.: Ho sei ore al giorno ma a volte abbiamo lezioni anche al pomeriggio.
S.S: Davvero?
S.I.: Certo. S.I.: Vuoi che ti faccia un po’ vedere in giro ora ?
S.S: Grande !
S.I.: Il primo ufficio sulla tua destra è la segreteria. Qui possiamo chiedere ogni sorta di aiuto ed informazioni.
S.S. : Sì, in Svezia è lo stesso.S.I.: La seconda porta sulla destra lungo il corridoio è l’ufficio della Preside.
S.S: Bene, dov’è la sala professori?
S.I.: E’ la prima porta sulla sinistra, di fronte alla segreteria.
S.S: Ok..
S.I.: Ora ti mostro la nostra aula magna. E’ il luogo delle riunioni e delle conferenze. Qui possiamo anche guardare dei video su argomenti interessanti e discuterne. Abbiamo un lettore DVD, un televisore e un computer portatile con proiettore per le presentazioni.
S.S.: Avete dei laboratori?
S.I. Sì, certo. Al piano di sotto abbiamo i laboratori di scienze e multimediali ma possiamo usarli solo in presenza di un insegnante.
S.S. : Fate molte verifiche scritte?
S.I. : Abbiamo molto spesso verifiche scritte ma anche interrogazioni almeno una volta a settimana.
S.S. : Capisco… E’ un sistema diverso.
S.I. : Guarda ! Questa è la mia classe e questi sono i miei compagni
S.S. : Chi è quell’insegnante?
S.I. : E’ la nostra prof. di italiano. La lezione sta per iniziare. Questo è il mio banco, puoi sederti vicino a me.
S.S. : Bene. Questa scuola mi sembra davvero bella! Grazie per la presentazione !
